The Mid-Autumn Moon Festival
The Mid-Autumn Moon Festival is the second most important festival for family gatherings in the Chinese community. Traditionally, families will get togethers to celebrate, eating moon cakes, decorating the house with lanterns and appreciating the full moon are common activities. This year the festival is today, Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021. Happy Moon Festival!
Tamil Canadian Walk 2021 in support of Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund
Thank you for all your support to Canadian Tamil Congress’s (CTC) important community initiatives throughout the years.
CTC is hosting the 13th Annual Tamil Canadian Walk on this coming Sunday September 12th for a very important cause. The funds raised at this year’s walkathon will benefit the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund. Tamil community leading by example, in addition to raising funds, this year’s Tamil Canadian Walk will help increase awareness of the ongoing challenges faced by Indigenous Peoples in Canada, help improve relations between Indigenous and Tamil Canadian communities and clearly demonstrate our commitment towards reconciliation.
